To lighten the burden on a driver which operates an accelerator pedal when there is no traffic light within a range of a predetermined distance in an ongoing direction on the road where the vehicle is traveling.SOLUTION: In a driving power control method, driving power corresponding to a quantity of manipulation on the accelerator pedal of a vehicle is generated for the vehicle (S3). It is determined whether there is a traffic light within a range of a predetermined range in a vehicle ongoing direction from the current position of the vehicle (S2, S4), and when it is determined that there is no traffic light within the range, the driving power to be generated for the vehicle which corresponds to the quantity of manipulation is made larger (S5 to S7) than when it is determined that there is a traffic light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
【課題】自車両が走行している道路の行き先の所定距離の範囲内に信号機が存在しない場合にアクセルペダルを操作する運転者の負担を軽減する。【解決手段】駆動力制御方法では、自車両のアクセルペダルの操作量に応じた駆動力を前記自車両に発生させる(S3)。自車両が走行している道路上において、自車両の現在位置から自車両進行方向で所定距離の範囲内に信号機が存在するか否かを判定し(S2、S4)、この範囲内に信号機が存在しないと判定した場合に、前記信号機が存在すると判定した場合よりも、自車両に発生させる前記操作量に応じた前記駆動力を大きくする(S5~S7)。【選択図】図4
