The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for controlling a variable battery. According to the present invention, the apparatus for controlling a variable battery comprises: a temperature detection unit detecting a temperature of an engine room in a vehicle; a storage unit in which electricity is stored to be supplied to start the vehicle and operate an electronic component; and a control unit predicting an ambient temperature based on the temperature detected in the temperature detection unit, and variably controlling a storage ratio of the storage unit by determining a cold starting condition of the vehicle in accordance with the predicted ambient temperature.

    본 발명은 가변형 배터리 제어 장치 및 방법이 개시된다. 본 발명의 가변형 배터리 제어 장치 및 방법은, 차량 내 엔진룸의 온도를 감지하는 온도감지부; 차량의 시동 및 전장품 구동 중 적어도 하나를 위해 공급 가능한 전력이 저장된 저장부; 및 온도감지부에서 감지한 온도에 기초하여 주위온도를 예측하고, 예측한 주위온도에 따라 차량의 냉시동 조건을 판단하여 저장부의 저장 비율을 가변 제어하는 제어부;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
