One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for controlling the handling of a vehicle, which comprises the following steps of: allowing a controller to determine whether a traveling state of a vehicle is understeer or oversteer from an electronic stability control (ESC) device; allowing the controller to determine an intention of a driver to accelerate from an accelerator position sensor (APS) when the traveling state of the vehicle is considered to be understeer; and allowing the controller to control the vehicle such that motor torque to the front wheels is less than motor torque to the rear wheels according to the intention of the driver to accelerate. Accordingly, characteristics such as fast responsiveness, precision, and linearity of a motor are used to allow handling performance to be improved without loss of power.

    본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 차량의 핸들링 제어 방법은, 제어기에 의해, ESC(electronic stability control; 차체 자세 제어 장치)로부터 차량의 주행 상태가 언더스티어(understeer) 상태인지 오버스티어(oversteer) 상태인지 판단하는 단계와, 상기 차량의 주행 상태가 언더스티어 상태인 것으로 판단되면, 상기 제어기에 의해, APS(accelerator position sensor; 가속 페달 위치 센서)로부터 운전자의 가속 의지를 판단하는 단계, 및 상기 제어기에 의해, 운전자의 가속 의지에 따라 상기 차량의 전륜 측 모터 토크가 상기 차량의 후륜 측 모터 토크보다 작도록 제어하는 단계를 포함한다.
