Optimization of public traffic line network is a significant way to address traffic issues in large and medium-sized cities. To address the issues of high operating cost and low convenience of transit line network, this paper builds an optimization model of public traffic line network aiming at the minimum operating cost, maximum operating income, minimum unsatisfied demand costs and minimum travel time of passengers, optimizes the direction of lines and departure frequency, and calls Gurobi through Python to address the model, and verifies the model through examples. Among them, the demand satisfaction rate is set as a decision variable to express the loss caused by the unsatisfied demands. The results turn out that adopting the proposed optimization model to optimize the public traffic line network can make the line operation scheme achieve better results in respect of passenger benefits and benefits of public traffic enterprises, which demonstrates that the model can be availably applied to the planning of public traffic line network.
