In the modern aviation field, the study of positioning and adjustment strategies for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) formation flying, especially in the face of challenges such as electromagnetic interference, holds significant value for navigation and safety applications. This paper delves into the pure azimuthal passive positioning technology and position adjustment strategies for UAV formation flying. It mainly integrates the triangular zoning positioning model and the UAV population intelligence optimization model, solving them through population intelligence optimization algorithms. The research initially employs the triangular zoning positioning model, analyzing the positional relationship between UAVs receiving and transmitting signals to establish an effective passive signal reception positioning model for UAVs. Subsequently, in conjunction with this positioning model, the paper proposes an adjustment strategy for UAV circular formations simulating the population intelligence optimization process. Additionally, a greedy strategy for UAV cone formation adjustment is designed for cone-shaped formations. Simulation results demonstrate that the final positions of the UAVs closely align with their ideal positions, with minimal adjustment errors, proving the superiority and practicality of these strategies. This study not only provides efficient positioning and adjustment solutions for UAV formation flying but also paves new paths for future aviation navigation and safety applications.
