Modern UAVs play an important role in military operations, reconnaissance and exploration. In actual formation flying, a passive pure azimuth positioning method is planned to adjust the position of the UAVs to maintain the formation in proper flight. This paper first investigates the problem of pure azimuth passive positioning of UAVs in the case of slight position deviations. The corresponding angles and distances are calculated when using the central aircraft and two escort aircraft as signal sources to transmit signals, and a positioning model for the UAV swarm is obtained; at the same time, a positioning model with no deviation in the position of at least one escort aircraft is investigated; finally, a practical problem is introduced for empirical study, and the results show that The use of the central aircraft and three UAVs can adjust the UAV swarm to the ideal position, and a more ideal position adjustment scheme is given
