A novel disjoint multipath routing algorithm is presented in this paper for assessing the multi-constraint quality of service (QoS) of Naval Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) networks. The study utilizes Software Defined Networking (SDN) as a robust networking tool for improving QoS. The revised disjoint multipath routing algorithm is implemented and evaluated in a test environment consisting of Mininet, IPerf3, and Ryu Controller for the SDN network of the naval SCADA system. The effectiveness of the revised algorithm is demonstrated through the testing of three different SDN topologies, which are compared to standard routing procedures. The results show that the revised disjoint multipath routing algorithm offers better management of the SCADA network, improves its QoS, and increases bandwidth. Overall, this work highlights the potential of SDN and the revised algorithm for enhancing the performance and reliability of SCADA networks.
