An electric vehicle's performance and control strategy depend on how precise the battery model and SOC estimation are. These factors are crucial for effective battery management and enhancing vehicle reliability. In this paper, firstly, the State of Charges (SOCs) of each cell is estimated using Python. Later, a MATLAB model was used to find the SOCs of each cell and compared the values obtained from Python. Secondly, to perform Active Cell Balancing, a MATLAB model was built comprising of four cells linked in series. The energy from higher cells was shifted to lower ones to equalize the SOCs, and optimal results were obtained.
