With the rapid development of air transportation, flight delay has become an urgent problem for civil aviation. Flight delay is affected by many factors, which seriously affect the operation efficiency and service quality of airlines. In order to accurately predict flight delay time, ARIMA time series model is proposed in this paper. Flight data from May 1, 2021 to May 3, 2021 are selected as training set and test set for simulation verification, and short-term prediction of time series is made. The results show that ARIMA model has a good fit for flight delay data, can guarantee the accuracy of flight delay prediction, and has guiding significance for dealing with flight delay in advance.
