The study sought to demonstrate the feasibility of Honeywell's Automated Electronic Maintenance Training (AEMT) concept for training Navy intermediate level maintenance technicians. Using the AN/ALQ-100 electronic warfare set and the AN/ALM-64 test set as the test bed, an AEMT/ALQ-100 demonstration facility was designed, developed, demonstrated and evaluated. This volume of the report covers the technical, simulation, and training aspects of the program. Specific sections of the report describe the AEMT concept and philosophy, design and development of the AEMT/ALQ-100 demonstration facility, and results of the Navy's evaluation. It is concluded that the AEMT approach is feasible for training intermediate level maintenance technicians. Recommendations are made for continuation of the evaluation to allow determination of AEMT training effectiveness.
