The project is a proposed relocation of Maryland Route 197 in Prince Georges County from a point approximately 1.7 miles north of Maryland Route 450 to the proposed County Relocation of Jericho Park Road at the Pennsylvania Railroad. The initial construction is proposed as the two northbound lanes of an ultimate four lane divided highway with an average length of approximately 1.3 miles. The major impact on the environment is caused by necessity for obtaining right-of-way through a largely undeveloped area. No housing is affected and no adverse effects on wildlife are expected.
