The initial construction of a four lane divided highway (2-24' Roadways) route 193 for approximately 1.4 miles and a single two lane roadway for approximately 1.6 miles is described. Ultimately, this facility will be a six lane divided highway for approximately three miles, beginning at a point 1,300' plus or minus east of Telegraph Road and terminating at the Maryland Route 450 and Maryland Route 556 intersection, Prince Georges County, Maryland. The expected impact is the acquisition of existing residential and undeveloped lands and the conversion thereof to highway purposes. Traffic using the old road will be given the opportunity to use a safer more efficient route on new location. The displacement of residents appears to be the major adverse environment effect. Relocation assistance services and payments will be provided in accordance with established procedures.
