This paper discusses a mathematical model which predicts when a wheel tractor will overturn sideways. In addition to the usual tire and tractor parameters, this model also considers the slope, speed, turning radius, bump height, and side forces on the tires. The mathematical model predicted some overturns, which actually did not occur during experimental tests.
