This chapter considers the state feedback control problem for discrete-time switched linear systems via communication channels with limited capacity. It is assumed that the controller only accesses the successfully event-triggered transmitted signal of switching mode and system state. Considering the signal transmission delays and packet dropout respectively, switching mode based event-triggered transmission conditions are proposed to mitigate the unnecessary data transmission. Based on the new switching signal generated by merging the original switching signal with event-triggering transmitted signal, the closed-loop systems become switched systems with time delay. Then, utilizing the average dwell time technical and multiple Lyapunov functional methods, exponential stability conditions for the closed-loop systems are derived. Furthermore, linear matrix inequalities based co-design methods of event-trigger parameters and state feedback controller gains are proposed. Numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of obtained results.
