To more appropriately suppress accumulation of particulate materials onto a filter during cold time.SOLUTION: A hybrid automobile in which an engine and a motor are controlled so as to travel while charging-discharging a battery for which a power storage ratio is kept at a target ratio, where the storage ratio is defined as a ratio of electric energy allowed to be discharged from the battery to a total capacity thereof. Further, in a case where, during cold time, an accumulation amount of particulate materials accumulated onto the filter is less than a given value, the target ratio is set so that the ratio is higher when the accumulation amount is high compared to the case of the amount being low and the ratio is high when an exhaust amount of particulate materials out of the engine is large compared to the case of the amount being small.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
