The invention provides a pedestrian crossing induction control device and method based on a piezoelectric sensor. Due to the adoption of the piezoelectric sensor, the problems existing in an existing induction technology can be effectively solved, and the defects existing in the existing induction technology can be effectively overcome. Pedestrian state information in a crossing awaiting area is acquired in time, dynamic and static information about existence or movement of pedestrians can be automatically detected, whether a crossing green light signal is provided for the pedestrians or not is judged according to pedestrian density and current pedestrian awaiting time which are calculated according to a master control module, and a preset value so that collision between the pedestrians and motor vehicles can be avoided, the time for the pedestrians to wait for a green light is shortened, intelligent pedestrian crossing control is achieved, and the overall through efficiency of a road is improved.
